what does it mean to be intersex?
Intersex is an umbrella term which describes people who are born with variations in their sex Development; meaning a person's sex characteristics (which could include chromosome patterns, internal organs, external organs, genitalia and/or hormones) are different to contemporary cultural stereotypes about what constitutes male and female.
